I want to put blonde highlights in my red hair?

I have red hair and i want to put blonde highlights in my hair, i would like to do this myself if possible. I wanted to know what is the best hair dye to do this, something i can buy at a drugstore.I want to put blonde highlights in my red hair?
I actually think it looks reall nice. However, it needs to be really red and it looks better if its got some wave and thickness to it. You should do the type of highlighting that has the cap and u pull out small pieces. that will look the best. I would reccomend clairol's frost and tip. okay, seriously red hair with blonde highlights is literally the worst hair color EVER. It looks horrible. Please DO NOT put blonde highlights in your hair
