Help i usually highlight my hair but i dyed it blonde all over now i have bright blond with a slight ginger?

i would apreciate any expert advice as i love my hair, the condition is quite good. its just bright blonde with yellow/ginger in certain streaks. what can i do? cant afford the hairdressers. would a ash blond work?Help i usually highlight my hair but i dyed it blonde all over now i have bright blond with a slight ginger?
I would not recommend ash on top of what you have already done. The reason your hair is different colors is that the hair you already hi-lited will pull a different color and tone than the hair that wasn't hi-lited. You can try toning it with something that is a violet. You will still have different colors where the hair was hi-lited but it should counteract the yellows to a prettier blond. Just make sure that you get the same level number that your hair is at now. Good luck!Help i usually highlight my hair but i dyed it blonde all over now i have bright blond with a slight ginger?
Hmm.. the best answer really would be to go to a salon, because dyeing really damages the hair, whether you are noticing it now or not. Ash blond is the color normally recommended to fix redness, however I have had some VERY bad experiences with it (my hair ended up with a greenish tint to it) I would suggest that if you absolutely must do this at home, get one of the more expensive haircolor boxes (such as L'oreal Dream Blonde..its new, and its awesome! costs around $15) b/c my bad experiences with ash colors came from the cheaper brands (garnier, clairol).

One last suggestion would be to try getting it done at a local beauty school.. a student hairdresser would do it, but they would be under the supervision of their instructor, and the process you want done isn't totally complicated. And it would cost only 1/3 of the price as a regular salon.
