I want my hair to grow, so I don't want to damage it with bleach %26amp;/or peroxide. I heard about a loreal box dye?
Is there anyway to go blonder/lighter without using bleach or peroxide?I have light brown hair with blonde highlights, I want to go lighter but without bleach or peroxide?
Sun-In
is an amazing product...i used to use it all the time
and i would be bleach blonde...
and when you just want some natural looking streaks it works like that too...
i used it until my eyebrows got dark and i hated that my hair was light
and my eyebrows dark so i dyed my hair
hope it works
IT DID FOR ME!!!!!!!I have light brown hair with blonde highlights, I want to go lighter but without bleach or peroxide?
All boxed hair lighteners have bleach in them with peroxide as the activator. You can try fresh cut lemons with the sun...that will lighten your hair. Sun-in is a bleach/peroxide product.
Don't ever use Bleach, bleach has Clorox in it. That stuff is for clothes and cleaning hospitals. Don't ever use peroxide either, it will make all of you're hair frizz up and break off. Go to a CVS or any store even Ralphs, you can buy a hair dying kit. Look for the color you want, and READ ALL instructions. It's simple and cheap, don't do it too many times or you'll have split ends all over and you can forget about growing your hair because you'll keep having to cut the ends off.
There is no way to pull color from your hair with out peroxide, peroxide is used to activate the hair tint. It lifts your hair cuticle and allows the tint to penetrate the hair shaft removing the color. If your hair is too dark bleach is used instead, then a toner is used to put a light color back into the bleached parts. Loreal hair products all have peroxide or they won't work.
I would really suggest that you stay with blonde highlights. If you should use products like ';sun in';, you may be very disappointed with the results. You can never be sure if it will pull enough color from your hair, leaving your hair gold, orange or dark yellow. If it is not applied evenly you could end up with dark and light spots of differing colors. Also keep in mind when you apply such a product it lightens all of your hair. So with in a very short time (2-4) weeks you will have a regrowth. Where you will have a obvious line between the hair that was lightened and your natural hair color. Then if you try again with the ';Sun in'; there will be no way to control the lift and you will still have a different color regrowth. Then you will have to find a good hair colorist to correct a big mess. This is called corrective work, because it takes so much longer and so many more steps are used , you will pay a lot.
My suggestion is to have a professional re-highlight your hair, maybe using 2-3 colors. It will be beautiful and shiny and you won't have the drama that doing this at home with either the grocery store tint or sun in and the damage they will cause.
