How do i get rid of bleached blonde highlights?

Or is it only possible to grow them out. I want my hair chemically straightened as it is naturally wavy and bushy and a mess and layered and shortish, the back coming only just starting to reach my back, and the sides barely reaching my jawline. How do i get rid of bleached blonde highlights?
Even if you put color over the highlights...all that bleach is still under there. So if you put a chemical straightener over that, there is a good chance your hair will break off. When you do highlights it strips color out of your hair, so the only way to get rid of them is to grow them out. Ask you stylist to test a piece of your hair first. I know it's a pain, but flat ironing would probably be your best solution. How do i get rid of bleached blonde highlights?
umm wut?
color dem bak..
straightening your hair chemically isnt going to help your hair. You could colour over your bleached blonde hi lights but personally, id grow them out and not use any harsh products.Hve yourself a few trims every few weeks , then if your adamant bout the straighteneing, your hair would at least be stronger.Im no hairdresser, but correct me if im wrong,.
Go and see your hairdresser and ask them!

If you dye your hair when it has been blonde, it can go some very odd colours!

If you have your hair chemically straightened, you will need to have it done regularly, the same as dyeing it.

Oh, and you must leave some time between treatments, otherwise very odd things can happen (breakages and colouring-wise)

You can ask your hairdresser what is the best style for you - and they can show you how to look after it/do it when you get home!

(I am not a hairdresser, but have had some major disasters before, by doing things myself!!!!)
As long as you keep your hair well conditioned with each shampooing, you can be putting in a temp color(4-6wks) thats close to your natural color until your hair is healthy enough to withstand a straightening - be sure to trim the ends periodically
As a matter of fact, recently i read an article in glamour, that there is indeed a rinse that can fix your problem. It doesnt say anything else, so i think that you shoul talk to your stylist.
You can't 'get rid' of them but you can have your hair re-coloured, which would totally hide them under another colour. Chemical straightening isn't nice and as you've already got chemically treated hair it probably wouldn't be a good idea. Talk to your hairstylist - any good salon will give you a free consultation.
why dont u dye ur hair???????
Well if u don't want to bother growing them out, u can go to a hair salon and in 2 washes with colour removal those bleach blonde highlights will be gone.
DO NOT get your hair chemically straightened, even if you've dyed over the highlights because there is a high probability that only the non-highlighted bits will straighten properly, so you'll have curly streaks in your hair!, and secondly this will completely over-process the hair, so your hair will almost definitely become very, very dry and damaged.

talk to your high stylist - unless your hair is very kinky (ie tight afro curls), do you really need it chemically straightened? with the right shampoo/conditioner, serum and a great blowdrying and straightening technique, your hair will become much healthier (chemically straightening damages it, making it more prone to frizzyness). it should only take a couple of months for it to grow to your back, and until then why not get some extensions (clip-in or weaved/glued)? then you can straighten your hair and wear it down with extensions, and leave it curly some days to let it rest, and curl the ends of the extensions to get a very-fashionable wavy ponytail?
Professionally I am not a big fan of chemical straightening. And for you it really is out of the question. You need a professional to deal with your highlights and then reshape your cut so it works for you. Just dumping a brown over your highlights is not going to be a pretty color. Of course you can just grow out the highlights but that doesn't look great. Make a consultation appointment and discuss the options with a professional. Best of luck.
I had a colour put over mine at the salon. It might fade quickly, but you can add something like a temporary wash in wash out to combat that until you get the next permanent colouring done.
I had bleached blonde highlights, and i had to put any red colour washin let it dry and then put a chocolate brown over the top of it,

and it is fine.

good luck

;-)
Hi I was going to say you could always dye over them to cover them up, but if you cant have your hair chemicaly straightend with the bleach/highlights being in your hair then I doubt you ill be able to do it with colour on top of the bleach. So you might just have to let it all grow out.

Surely you can get it straightend even with bleach in you hair. I only thought it was if you hair is in really bad condtion and is very dry or brittle is the only time you cant get it chemically straighend.

But if thats the truth then you will just have to let it grow Im affraid, or go and buy some heat protection spray and some GHDS, and that i will solve your problem as you going to be paying loads for chmically straighting.
